The CISO in complexity: resilience, digital freedom and vision of the future
The CISO in complexity: resilience, digital freedom and vision of the future
In a future that is no longer speculative but imminent, threats to security will no longer be confined to the digital realm. They will move across bodies, streets, physical networks, and domestic environments.
Protecting the nation-system: beyond the walls of IT
To achieve this, it is not enough to strengthen systems — we must transform the very way we think about security.
A new leadership for security
Those responsible for security today can no longer limit themselves to assessing vulnerabilities or updating policies. They must lead complex organizations in increasingly uncertain environments.
They must be able to communicate effectively with both the board and operational teams, understand the languages of compliance and innovation, build future scenarios, anticipate impacts, and measure effectiveness — not only in terms of blocked attacks, but also in business continuity, reputational impact, and operational efficiency.
The CISO of the future is a hybrid figure: strategist, facilitator, communicator, risk expert, and cultural advocate. A professional capable of connecting the technical, organizational, and geopolitical dimensions.
And this evolution cannot happen in isolation. It must be supported by a systemic recognition of the role, new decision-making tools, updated success metrics, and — above all — a structured dialogue with those facing similar challenges.
A future to write together
